Collingdale Fire Company is an organization of dedicated volunteers who strive for the preservation of life and property in the communities we serve. As a company, we will invest in our community and our membership to meet the needs of both, now and in the future. We will continuously look to preserve our future as Collingdale Fire Company through our dedication to excellence and our commitment to service. We plan to fulfill this mission through;

• Providing Fire/EMS Services to the boroughs of Collingdale and Aldan
• Provide mutual aid to our surrounding communities
• Educate our community in Fire Prevention and Life Safety
• Provide ongoing training and seek improvement
• Preserve our traditions while being innovative in seeking solutions to issues

The Fire Company apparatus consists of one (1) Aerial/Ladder Truck, two (2) Engines/Pumpers, one (1) Rescue Truck, and two (2) ambulance transport units. The company as a whole average of 350 fire calls and 2,500 medical emergencies per year. Collingdale Fire Co. has approximately 150 members on the roster. Of these approximately 30% still respond actively to Fire and EMS emergencies. The Fire service is 100% volunteer while the EMS responders are a complement of volunteers and paid staff of EMTs. All responders, both Fire and EMS support our 24 hours/ 7 days a week/ 365 days a year protecting and servicing its residents.

We are always looking for more volunteer members. No previous experience is necessary, and all training and equipment are provided at no cost. Firefighter/EMTs are trained on all of the apparatus for all types of incidents; EMT-only members handle EMS and rescue incidents but do not have to become firefighters. We also have non-riding administrative members who perform additional support duties.
